Marin’s Native Aizoaceae, Western Sea-purslane (Sesuvium verrucosum)

This mainly Central Valley native is unusual in Marin. It has colonized the drying sub-saline shores of the westernmost Las Gallinas Sanitary District Water Reclamation Pond. Here it is a late-summer-flowering species.
