Talk by Kevin Sadlier Sunday, April 17 11:00 a.m.
Date: Sunday, April 17, 2016
Time: 11:00 am
Join Kevin Sadlier, co-owner of Green Jeans Supply in Strawberry, for a talk on the use of native plants. Kevin Sadlier is a lively speaker on all things plant related. He will talk about a selection of unusual and interesting California native plants suitable for Marin gardens. Green Jeans is offering a discount on purchases to all participants at the event.
Kevin’s love of gardening took root in the 1980s when he worked as a chef and tended a rooftop herb and vegetable garden that yielded fresh produce for the kitchen. After moving to the Bay Area, Kevin was ultimately lured out of the kitchen and into the backyard. He and his wife started Green Jeans Garden Supply in 1997 and have been running the nursery in the same location since. While not working at Green Jeans, they can be found foraging for culinary mushrooms.
The event is free and will proceed rain or shine.
Directions: From Hwy 101 in either direction, take Seminary Drive exit. The nursery is along the east side frontage road, south of the Strawberry Village Shopping Center. There is lots of parking along the street.
